Today, I bring that same level of professionalism, kindness and attention to every appointment. Whether I am visiting someone at home, in the workplace, or providing a private blood draw, ECG or even an urine sample, my aim is always to make the experience as comfortable, respectful and stress-free as possible.

Alongside my clinical experience, I hold a degree in Special Psychopedagogy, which has given me a deeper understanding of communication, anxiety and individual needs. It has shaped the way I care for every patient, with patience, kindness and respect.

Why I Created Hampshire Phlebotomy Services

When I moved to the UK from Europe more than ten years ago, I quickly realised that accessing blood tests worked differently.

In many European countries, if you want to understand more about your health, you can simply visit a laboratory, choose the tests you would like, have your blood taken and receive your results directly.

Working in both the NHS and private healthcare, I met countless patients who asked me the same question:

"Can I have a blood test? How do I get one?"

Some already had a request form from their GP but wanted a more convenient appointment. Others wanted to take a proactive approach to their health by checking cholesterol, thyroid function, vitamin levels, hormones or general wellbeing through private testing.

Those conversations stayed with me.

I realised there was an opportunity to make blood testing simpler, more convenient and more accessible, while always working alongside—not replacing—existing healthcare services.

That is why I created Hampshire Phlebotomy Services.

Hi, I am Cristiana the person behind Hampshire Phlebotomy Services

I am a qualified Healthcare Assistant and Phlebotomist with five years of experience across NHS hospitals, GP surgeries and private healthcare.

Throughout my career, I have worked across NHS hospitals, GP practices, and private healthcare, gaining experience in Acute Medicine, Coronary Care, A&E, Critical Care, Haematology & Oncology, Gastroenterology, Day Surgery, Endoscopy, Gynaecology, Surgical Assessment Units, the Discharge Lounge, and elderly care.

These roles have given me the opportunity of caring for people during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. I have supported patients undergoing chemotherapy, those recovering from cardiac procedures, older adults with complex health needs, children having their first blood test, people living with epilepsy, and patients who simply needed a calm, compassionate and reassuring presence.

My Approach

For me, a blood test is never "just a blood test."

Some people are nervous.

Some have difficult veins.

Some have a needle phobia.

Some are arranging care for an elderly parent.

Some simply want someone who will listen and treat them with kindness.

My role is not only to collect your blood safely but to make you feel comfortable, respected and cared for from the moment we meet.

Every appointment is tailored to the individual because no two patients are the same.
